Local notes for Springfield.
Area information and delivery details for Springfield. Confirm your address and current delivery window when ordering.
Springfield calls itself “the City of Firsts” — home to the first American dictionary (Webster), the first gas-powered automobile (Duryea, 1893), and the first basketball game (James Naismith, 1891, at Springfield College). The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame anchors downtown.
Theodor “Dr. Seuss” Geisel was born and raised in Springfield. The Amazing World of Dr. Seuss Museum sits inside the Quadrangle (Springfield Museums) along with the Springfield Science Museum and Smith Art Museum.
Baystate Medical Center is the largest employer in Springfield and a Level-1 trauma center on Chestnut St. MassMutual, MGM Springfield, Smith & Wesson HQ (East Springfield), and the Springfield Armory (now a National Historic Site) round out the major institutions.
Springfield covers 33 square miles across 19 neighborhoods and 12 primary residential ZIP codes (01101 through 01151). It sits at the south end of the Pioneer Valley, where the Connecticut River begins to widen toward Hartford.
Three licensed retail dispensaries operate inside Springfield: 6 Brick's (Metro Center), EMBR (Boston Road), and Zaza Green (East Springfield/Page Blvd). BlazeXpress is the delivery alternative — same MA-licensed products, no drive, no parking, free delivery.
Roughly 45% of Springfield residents identify as Hispanic/Latino, with a strong Puerto Rican community concentrated in the North End (Memorial Square, Brightwood). Growing Vietnamese and Cambodian populations along the Wilbraham Road corridor in Sixteen Acres.

The Springfield-to-dispensary math — what each option actually costs you.
From most Springfield addresses, the round-trip to a Metro Center storefront like 6 Brick's runs 20 to 30 minutes of your time once you factor in parking and the in-store wait. EMBR on Boston Road is similar from East Forest Park and Sixteen Acres; Zaza Green is a similar round-trip from McKnight, Indian Orchard, and East Springfield. BlazeXpress delivery is 0 minutes of your driving and 45 to 75 minutes of waiting at home — time you spend however you want. That comparison only gets stronger from the farther-out neighborhoods (Indian Orchard, Sixteen Acres, East Forest Park, Pine Point), where a storefront round-trip can stretch to 40+ minutes plus the actual transaction time. Beyond the time math: there's no parking hunt around MGM during a Thunderbirds game, no awkward bumping into your neighbor in line, no second trip if the storefront's out of the strain you wanted. The trade-off is the wait. If you need it in 30 minutes flat and you're downtown, 6 Brick's wins. If you'd rather not get in your car at all, we do. Most Springfield customers do the math after their first order and become repeat customers — our retention rate from Springfield is the highest in our zone.
